Hello and welcome!
I really appreciate your coming to my website. I’ve been publishing romance since 2003, when my debut novel It Happened in Florence was released as an e-book. If you remember back that far, this was a time when most people asked: “E-book? What’s that? I read it on my computer? But where is the book? You can’t hold an e-book.”
The world sure has changed, hasn’t it? People now can’t imagine leaving home without their tablets or e-readers loaded with e-books.
When my first vampire erotic romance novel, The Night of Maya, was published in 2005 by Ellora’s Cave, the publishing world had a good laugh at a handful of small online presses releasing huge numbers of graphically sexy romances. The vampire romance craze had just begun, largely on the pages of these graphically sexy romances. Well, that’s history too. Most mainstream publishers now have their own erotic romance imprints, and as for vampires… They can now be found populating planets in the remote reaches of the universe, sometimes hitching a ride to Earth to mix with our own bloodsucking races, as I described in my novella Earthly Possession.
I love romance, real and fictional. I’ve been married to the same guy for 14 years, and we’ve spent the first 13 of those years in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. LA has provided a wonderful setting for my stories Earthly Possession and The Night of Maya.
I now live in Iowa, in a small town where I had attended college, and I have to admit that I’ve discovered the small-town girl in my heart. I love that I can get in my car and in five minutes find myself surrounded by the open spaces of the Heartland.
